At Ascension Lutheran Church, you will find a community of enthusiastic Christians in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We enjoy authentic worship with Christ-centered, challenging, and instructive preaching. We are all about helping you develop and sustain a living relationship with Jesus. Please take some time to look around.
ASCENSION WORSHIP SERVICES SUSPENDED
Announcement – Holy Week and Easter services will be offered online. Our music team, Elders, and guest pastors will be sharing meaningful messages and beautiful music to honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There are also extra links for Children to continue their learning and worship. Please join us by visiting our website’s main page, and click on the Online Worship Resources link below. Blessings to all of you in this Holy season, and may we worship together in our homes and in our hearts.
Continue to check below for updates on services through April.
COVID-19 – Out of an abundance of caution, for the health of our congregation during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ascension Lutheran Church has decided to suspend worship services through the end of April. We will continue to update information here as we receive guidelines from our Governor.
The church office hours will remain the same, although visitor access will be limited. More information about Bible studies and meetings is forthcoming. We hope to make those available to you via video-conferencing.
The Elders are available to anyone feeling overwhelmed by all the events from the past couple of weeks. Please contact the church office for more details or email the Elders directly at email@example.com. Your church council will monitor the situation and advise if any future dates (or changes in current schedule) are warranted.
We pray for all that have been effected by this virus and for everyone in the medical profession during this unprecedented time in our nation. Please be safe – everyone.
WITH CHURCH SERVICES BEING SUSPENDED, it’s very important to remember the church’s expenses continue. There’s still a mortgage to be paid, payroll to meet, utilities to pay, etc. Now is a great time to try out Online Giving! Go to the Online Giving page of the church (ascensionpgh.com/giving) or download the app (Give+) from Vanco to your phone. You can set up recurring or one-time donations. Now more than ever it’s important to continue your support of Ascension financially. We encourage you to consider giving your offering online. Of course, you may also mail in your donation to the church if you would like. Questions? Contact Bob Marcellus at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.

SOAR – Respite Night Details
One Friday every month, two Special Education trained educators and several volunteers from our congregation host a respite night for children in the community with special needs and their siblings. Parents may drop their children off for 3 hours of highly supervised fun and activities geared toward kids with special needs. This monthly date night gives parents a needed night off and children an opportunity to build relationships. See our flyer below for more information.
