At Ascension Lutheran Church, you will find a community of enthusiastic Christians in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We enjoy authentic worship with Christ-centered, challenging, and instructive preaching. We are all about helping you develop and sustain a living relationship with Jesus. Please take some time to look around.

Join with people all over America (and even some around the world) on Thursday, May 2nd as we lift up our voices in prayer and praise.  We will gather in front of Ascension Lutheran Church from 5:30 to 6:30 PM to join in love with people from Washington, DC to Honolulu, Hawaii and from Juneau, Alaska to Key West, Florida as we celebrate

Our theme this year is LOVE ONE ANOTHER, taken from John 13:34, which says, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Scripture tells us again and again that our fervent prayer is effective; that our loving God responds to His children’s earnest pleas in mighty ways that avail much, and ultimately determine the course of history.  Won’t you take an hour to lift up our country and the world to our mighty, loving God and ask for His blessing?  Better yet, bring a friend and double your impact!

Coming right from work or school?  Got the hungries?  Come early for a light snack at 5:00 PM.  Feel free to bring a lawn chair. We’re hoping umbrellas won’t be necessary this year!

For more information, go to www.nationaldayofprayer.org. Other times and places can be found at that website under EVENTS. The Washington, DC event will be streamed live and available online when you are able to participate.
