Worship Time
Divine Service is on Sundays at 9:30 A.M.
How We Worship
In the Divine Service, God invites us into His presence to receive the blessings of His grace through Word and Sacrament. We respond by praising Him for all the blessings that we receive. Through music and prayer, we utilize our God-given gifts and talents to thank and praise our God who gives to us so generously in His Son Jesus Christ.
At Ascension Lutheran you can expect traditional liturgy with a selection of blended music most Sundays. Our services include a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs played by organ and/or praise band. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday.
Children in the Divine Service
At Ascension we believe the Divine Service is a gift from God to His children of all ages. We welcome and encourage families and children to participate in the Divine Service; we enjoy and encourage their presence in the service as these divine gifts are for the little children too! Nearly all our services have a children’s sermon for the kids and once children reach a certain age they can participate in the service as Acolytes, members of the Praise Team, and help out with our A/V Team. Activity bags are available in the Narthex for families to use during the services. We encourage children to remain in the service because we believe its gifts are for them as well, but we do understand parents may need to step out with their children. We have a nursery available for this purpose.
