Outreach

helpinghands“Witness, Mercy, Life Together” describes how the church lives and works together to proclaim the Gospel and to care for people in need in our congregations, communities and throughout the world.

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod has been involved in mission and outreach since 1851 when it established its first mission board. Today, the LCMS trains, sends and supports called and appointed career, long-term and short-term missionaries throughout the United States and in various countries around the world where there are mission stations, partner churches, schools or mission relationships.

A long-standing emphasis on and commitment to “go and make disciples of all nations” drives the people of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) to reach out to those around them with the Truth.

We recognize the importance of caring for body and soul, demonstrating the unconditional compassion and love of God in Jesus Christ through works of mercy and meeting human need.

Operation Christmas Child

Our members love this ministry and it seems to get bigger every year. The Marcellus family leads the charge annually and makes the whole service project a tremendous amount of fun for all of us!

Pumpkin Fest!

We host a community pumpkin fest and flea market every year in early October. Its become a neighborhood mainstay. We sell out of our vendor tables as well as pies baked by our very own Ascension ladies.
